About Matyan
Matyan: Armenian Poetry is an app by Markael Studio of classic Armenian poems in the original Armenian, read aloud, with illustrated pages and music.
The app is intended for a general adult audience. It is not made for children and is not in the App Store’s Kids category.
Settings on your device
Menu language, narrator choice, text style, volumes, shelf order, and which What’s New items you have read stay on your device. These settings are never sent anywhere.
Matyan does not use the microphone, camera, location, contacts, or photos.
Purchases and Family Sharing
Purchases — Matyan Monthly, Matyan Yearly, and Matyan Forever — are made and processed by Apple. The app receives only Apple’s signed record of what you own, so it can unlock the corresponding poems. Markael Studio never receives your payment details or Apple ID details.
Family Sharing works through Apple.
Poem downloads
Poems that are not built into the app are downloaded from Apple’s servers using Apple-hosted downloads, not from Markael Studio’s servers.
App version checks
At most once every six hours, the app asks Apple’s public App Store lookup service whether a newer version of Matyan is available. The request contains the app’s bundle ID and the device’s region code. It carries no cookies or personal identifier, and Apple answers the request.
Internet connection checks
The app checks on the device whether an internet connection is available, only to show a “no internet connection” message when a download cannot start. Nothing is sent as part of this check.
App Store and browser links
“Our other apps” opens Apple’s own App Store sheet inside Matyan. Links to this privacy policy, support, and Apple’s standard licence agreement open in your browser.
Data sharing
Markael Studio does not sell or share personal data from Matyan, because the app collects none.
